Business Development Sales Associate
Our new media company is looking for an enthusiastic (entry-level) full-time Business Development Sales Associate (our first business development hire) to join the team and help us grow. You’ll be an integral part of our mission to make direct marketing easier for tech and e-commerce brands everywhere.
We’re a startup, so we’re looking for someone with an entrepreneurial spirit, passion for sales and marketing, and enthusiasm for working with clients.
Basic Responsibilities will include:
Responsible for new client outreach for our direct mail programs
Manage prospect pool and day-to-day communication with potential customers. Specific responsibilities include:
Outreach via written and verbal communication with potential customers
Research of new potential customers leveraging various platforms such as Crunchbase, LinkedIn, etc.
Liaising with our internal teams to build the prospect list in line with overall sales and marketing strategy
Assist in planning new category developments for customer acquisition
Assist in building out processes for CRM reporting and maintenance
Collaborate with internal teams to build strategic initiatives focused on business development, IE determine and form key biz dev partnerships with industry leads, identify new areas of expansion with regards to client acquisition, etc
Take on ad-hoc sales and marketing projects to help advance the team's revenue and strategic goals
Basic Qualifications:
0-2 years of relevant experience in marketing or sales
Passion for sales, marketing, customer acquisition, brand & account management
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills (oral and written)
Strong sense of urgency and great time-management skills
Self-starter and problem solver with a get-it-done attitude
The ability to work independently and manage relationships
